Faculty

Maddie Hayes began dancing when she was three years old and transitioned to Rena’s Dance Unlimited at age eight. During her time dancing at Rena’s, she studied ballet, tap, jazz, modern, and pointe under a variety of faculty members. She completed Grade I through VI Cecchetti exams and attended a Cecchetti Council of America summer intensive. Maddie was also a member of Rena’s Mouvement Dance Theatre for multiple seasons. 

After high school Maddie went on to dance at The University of Colorado. There she studied with Erika Randall, Helanius J. Wilkins, Chrissy Nelson, Rennie Harris and more. She was also given the opportunity to take master classes with Ailey II and work with resident artists such as Uri Shafir and Claudia La Vista. While in college Maddie performed in many CU dance productions choreographed by both faculty and students and choreographed works for student-run productions. She graduated in 2021 with a BS in Integrative Physiology and a minor in Dance. She is thrilled to be back at Rena’s teaching and taking class when she can.
